Appreciation Day for George-
June 10th started off as a normal day here at Valley- schools are always swirling with activities- and this time of year the winds are especially brisk. The morning saw the high school pulled into the gym for the Annual Awards Assembly, while behind the scenes others in the building were secretly plotting, planning, and setting up a surprise for their specialist, George. Mid-day saw the leachers lounge decorated and set up for an “appreciation luncheon” where the staff successfully pulled off a surprise recognition. Their astounded specialist joined them for the festivities with a humble spirit of appreciation! ( I am still touched and amazed!- thanks to all!)
A MASTERY MATRIX was on the wall to drive the activity, along with other decorations designed to reflect the theme- a poster size card with a photo of George and staff signatures, a well display and much more…. Also in the mix, Curtis was celebrating his 30th, so notice the photo with the small cake set on fire in this group too…. massive amounts of food and an awesome professionally created cake designed to reflect education and appreciation were also part of the occasion.
Here are a few photos of the day…..
